UAE A face tough test agaisnt Pakistan in Sharjah

Sharjah: The UAE A team will gain valuable experience by taking on a strong and experienced Pakistan A team at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Pakistan A team is here to play a series of limited-over matches against England Lions and UAE until February 26 at different venues in the UAE.

Pakistan A team is led by allrounder Mohammad Hafeez, who has played in 11 Tests and 48 one-dayers. The team is made up of many promising players like Shahzaib Hasan Mohammad Talha, Wahab Riaz and Abdur Rehman.

Aamer Sajjad is the vice captain. The match will commence at 2pm.

Vineet Thakur held the spotlight for the winners, smashing a brilliant unbeaten 68 to help his side score a challenging 166 for four in the allotted overs. Nasco ME Insurance, in reply, was restricted to 129 for 5.

Universal Steel rode on a brilliant all-round performance by Naveen to score a fine 12-run victory over Al Dhaid CC in the AJ Invitation League tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at Al Dhaid Cricket Village.

In other matches, Yogi Group easily beat Nucaf Tellicherry by 79 runs while Gyan Steel got the better of ECMIT by five wickets
