Top teams for Sharjah Ramadan T20 tourney

Emirates Islamic Bank will take on Zahira Colombo (Digicom) while Fly Emirates will cross swords with Yogi Group on the opening the Ten Sports T20 Cup Sharjah Ramadan tournament at the Sharjah stadium on August 22. The first match will start at 7.30pm and the second at 10.30pm.

Sharjah: Emirates Islamic Bank will take on Zahira Colombo (Digicom) while Fly Emirates will cross swords with Yogi Group on the opening the Ten Sports T20 Cup Sharjah Ramadan tournament at the Sharjah stadium on August 22. The first match will start at 7.30pm and the second at 10.30pm.

The 22nd edition of the popular tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, will feature 24 top teams that are divided into six groups with the top two from each group making it to the knockout stage. The tournament takes on special significance this year as it marks the International Cricket Council's centenary celebrations.

Like in the previous years, all teams will be allowed to import overseas players of their choice since it's an "open" tournament.

Group A : Eurocon Alubond CC, Nucaf Tellicherry CC, UAE Nationals CT-Edible Arrangements, ECB Blues

Group B: Fly Emirates, Yogi Group, SRT AL Jabeen CC, Affan CC

Group C: Ibsons CC, Gyan Steel CC, Rufi Real Estate, William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana

Group D: New Medical Centre (NMC), Khatri CC, Lahore Gymkhana, Interface Transworld CC

Group E: Al Hamad Contracting, Seven Seas Strikers, Afridi CC, Fortune Group

Group F: Universal Steel, Emirates Islamic Bank, Sharjah Club, Zahira Colombo (Digicom).
