Dubai: Former Indian Test opener Aakash Chopra, who has scored 10,452 runs in first class cricket will be coaching at the G Force Cricket Academy this week.

G Force Cricket Academy and Insportz are organising the cricket clinic, to be held at Insportz from September 13.

Chopra will take Master Class program for budding batsmen in UAE.

“During the three day prorgamme, boys will go through batting skills and how to play strong cricket,” said Gopal Jasapara, the Head Coach of the G Force Academy.

“Chopra played a vital role in Australia series in 2003-04.

“His batting technique against fast bowlers was sound. He gave a perfect start to India in that series with Virender Sehwag.”

Chopra, who is also a fine fielder, has inspired Rajasthan win the Ranji Trophy in the last two seasons.

The coaching program is for limited numbers of boys only. G Force Cricket Academy, who boast former West Indies captain Jimmy Adams as a brand ambassador, are winners of the Inter Academy cricket tournament conducted by Dubai Cricket Council.
