Dubai: South Africa has got to off to a brilliant start scoring 101 for no loss at lunch on the first day of the first Test match of the Cool & Cool Cup series at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
South African skipper Graeme Smith, who won the toss and elected to bat, is batting on 48 while his partner Alviro Petersen is unbeaten on 51. It was Petersen’s second half century in Test cricket.
Dubai became the 102nd stadium to host a Test match when the match commenced at 10am today.
