Sharjah: Rameez Shehzad and Usman inspired Nucaf Tellicherry as they carved out a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Air India in the 34th Bukhatir League A Division Tournament.
Talented Rameez hammered a scintillating 103 off 87 balls while Usman struck 98 off 112 balls to help their side overhaul Air India's challenging total of 267 for eight with six overs to spare.
Air India, batting first, built their innings around Ojas Mehta (68 off 91 balls), Naeemuddin Eslam (62 off 51 balls) and Umair Peshimam (53 off 90 balls). Maqsood hit a fluent unbeaten 36 off just 26 balls.
Needing 268 to win, Nucaf Tellicherry relied on Rameez and Usman to lead the charge and the two were in complete command not letting the bowlers settle.
Ashish Dingra further added to the woes of the Air India bowlers by chipping with a fine 34 as Nucaf Tellicherry achieved their target in 43.4 overs.
