Ratnayke interacted with young cricketers honing their skills at the centre and their parents, who had gathered in large numbers. Ratnayke lauded the efforts of the Max Way coaching staff, in trying to spread the game and for adhering to Maxtalent's "cricket for all" vision.

Maxtalent provides a training platform for children between the age of 7 and 18.

Ratnayke received a Maxtalent plaque of appreciation for his role and contribution towards promoting and developing the game in Asia.

Maxtalent's boys under-14 and under-16 teams are expected to travel to Mumbai to participate in the annual Maxtalent Int'l Bisleri Cup tournament for leading academy teams.

The tournament, organised by Maxtalent International, will be held between December 24 and 31. Some of Mumbai's top youth academy teams are expected to participate in the U-16 event.

Maxtalent's U-14s side too will play competitive matches with local teams.
