Dubai: Members of the Pakistan and England teams will arrive in the UAE five days before the start of two Twenty20 international matches to be held at the Dubai Sports City cricket stadium on February 19 and 20.

"England and Pakistan will arrive on February 14 for training before the two international matches. They will have practice from the very first day of their arrival at the stadium," said Macky Dudhia, General Manager, Sports Business of Dubai Sports City.

"We are expecting huge response for the match from all the lovers of the game and hence has reduced the ticket rates to make it accessible to people from all walks of life," he told Gulf News yesterday.

Price cuts

The organisers made sure not to increase the ticket prices from last November's Pakistan-New Zealand series, which starts at Dh75 for the February 19 match. Tickets for the February 20 match are reduced to Dh50.

Even the top priced Platinum Grandstand tickets have been slashed from Dh950 to Dh500 and for Saturday it will be further reduced to Dh400.

"Our low prices will be an added incentive for the lovers of the game to come and watch the back to back matches here," said Dudhia.

Tickets are available through www.boxofficeme.com, www.ticketingboxoffice.com. Telecommunication company WorldCall is the title sponsors for the series while Bank Alfalah will be the presenting sponsor and hence the series will be called WorldCall T-20 Challenge presented by Bank Alfalah.

Khalid Al Zarouni, president of the Dubai Sports City, said: "We are happy that WorldCall and Bank Alfalah are sponsoring this series."
