Dubai: The Pakistan Cricket Board has stopped their leg spinner Danish Kaneria from traveling to Dubai for the Test series to be held from November 12 at the Dubai Sports City International Cricket Stadium.

"All the players selected for the Test series have arrived here, except Kaneria," said a spokesperson of the Pakistan Cricket team to Gulf News.

It is not yet clear whether Kaneria had been asked to stay back following his match fixing allegations in September with the Essex county team.

According to information from Islamabad, the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a sudden decision.

Zakir Khan, the PCB Director International Operation said that “Kaneria has not been cleared by the board to travel to UAE. I cannot give any further details.”

Mohammad Yousuf. Azhar Ali, Mohammad Sami and Taufeeq Umar have checked into the team hotel in Dubai.
