Abu Dhabi: Abdullah Azhar's whirlwind knock of 80 runs helped Oudh Al Anfar beat Star Light Real Estate by six wickets while Interface Transworld scampered to a one-run win in the Corporate Cup semi-final matches of the Interface Gulf Cup cricket tournament.
The tournament is organised by Young Talents Cricket Academy, under the auspices of Abu Dhabi Cricket Council.
Star Light, batting first, put on a healthy 155 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Yasser played a crucial role as he scored 49 runs off 40 balls and was also in a 56-run second wicket partnership with Amjad Ali (26). Oudh Al Anfar duo, Owais and Shamroz claimed three and two wickets each.
Oudh Al Anfar's run chase was headed by their opener Azhar, who hit 80 off 44 balls to see his team score 156 for four wickets and 5.2 overs to spare.
