Dubai: Dubai Sports City is gearing up to provide not only top class Twenty20 cricket on November 12 and 13 but also outstanding entertainment during the two days.

"It will be a great night out for the cricket fans in the UAE. Arrangements have been made for the best entertainment for the two days," Macky Dudhia, General Manager Sports Business of the Dubai Sports City told Gulf News.

"Top Pakistani musicians Abrar Ul Haq and Strings will perform. Abrar will perform ahead of the first match on November 12. The programme will commence at around 7pm, one hour before the start of the match," said Dudhia. String will perform before the second match on November 13.

Incidentally, there is no separate charge for attending these concerts and is inclusive in the ticket prices starting from Dh75.

"We have arranged for the best sound system and the entertainment will be of the highest quality. Twenty20 is all about entertainment and the fans will be served an excellent feast of entertainment during both days," said Dudhia.

Tickets are selling like hotcakes. Though Pakistan lost the One-Day series, their team under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi is hoping to avenge defeat in the Twenty20.

"For the comfort of the fans and also considering the huge rush, the gates will be open by 5pm and to avoid a late rush all spectators are requested to come early," he said.

Abrar is best known for his debut single Billo De Ghar and he also sings in English and Urdu. Strings — the duo of Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood — is one of Pakistan's top musical performers.
