Abu Dhabi: Interface, Al Faraa and Etihad Airways kept their hopes alive of a knockout berth in the Ace-Pan Global Group Twenty20 Ramadan Cup.

Interface piled on the runs (117) in the second half of their inning to post a healthy 175 for six and dismiss Al Fahim to 113 to record a 62-run victory at the Zayed Stadium.

Shahzad Malek hit a 35-ball 57 highlighted by five fours and three sixes and Farhan Babar stroked 42 not out from 20 balls to bolster the team’s total after losing their three frontline batsmen for 50 in the ninth over.

Faisal Baig and Mujahid Amin took six wickets between them to dismiss Hexa Oil and Gas for 73 to give Al Faraa an 86-run triumph.

Etihad Airways defeated the bottom-placed Environment Agency by 36 runs for their second win in as many games.

In the next matches, Interface meet Emirates Cricket Board in a Group B decider, Al Faraa play the winless Adyard in Group C, and Etihad face Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in a crucial Group D encounter.

Alubond Tigers made it three out-of-three after a 152-run thrashing of Adnoc and look set to top Group B with a match left against Al Fahim.
