Abu Dhabi: Alubond Tigers extend their winning streak to three games after a resounding 75-run triumph over Abu Dhabi Gents in the Farlin Ramadan Twenty20 Cup.

Hassan Raza, the former Pakistan international, and Rameez Shahzad set them the platform with a 126-run partnership for the third wicket after the Alubond openers Shahid Sadique (3) and UAE international Rohan Mustafa (1) fell cheaply.

Fahad Hussain removed Sadique in his first over and Mustafa fell to Rob Kinder in the next, but that was the only success they enjoyed as Raza and Shahzad took charge.

Raza hit 84 not out from 59 balls that was studded with 11 boundaries while Shahzad smashed 62 from 45 deliveries, which was highlighted by nine fours and a couple of sixes to take Alubond’s score to 175 for three.

Abu Dhabi Gents in reply could muster only 100 for eight to suffer their third defeat in as many games at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Abu Dhabi Gymkhana bounced back from their defeat to New Medical Centre to record a six-wicket win over them in the group phase format in which each team play twice against each other.
