Dubai: Max Talent Cricket Academy team left for Mumbai to play in an overseas tournament and get tips from some of the best specialised coaches in India.

Max Talent will play in the Max Talent Trust Bisleri Challenge Cup annual under-16 tournament from today till December 30.

During the course of the tour, the boys will attend clinics conducted by Padmakar Shivalkar, one of India's finest spinners. Umesh Kulkarni will conduct a clinic on pace bowling while Sharad Hazare will provide tips on wicketkeeping. Former Indian team coach and Test opener Lalchand Rajput will provide batting tips.

Speaking to Gulf News, Sudhakar Shetty, the head coach of the Max Talent Academy said: "It will be a learning experience for the boys about not only on playing in overseas conditions but also gaining knowledge from the masters of different fields. This is the fifth edition of our tour and had benefited a lot of young cricketers."

Max Talent is also on a mission to spread cricket among UAE national girls. In collaboration with Dubai Education Zone they conducted a programme to teach the basics of the game to the girls of the Al Hudaibia Public National School.

Meanwhile, Young Talent Cricket Academy (YTCA) will be staging the UAE Exchange Four Nations Cup for Under-10 and Under-13 cricketers.

Youngsters will be divided into India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and UAE teams. The matches will be held at Delhi Private School in Sharjah and Jebel Ali and Skyline Young Talents Cricket ground.
