Kumar's allround show not enough as Khatri overcome Tellicherry

Al Dhaid: Nucaf Tellicherry's Yogesh Kumar took 4 wickets and also top-scored with 47 runs but could not stop Khatri Club from scoring an exciting 8-run victory in the Bukhatir League tournament, currently being held at the Al Dhaid ground.

Khatri won the toss and decided to bat. Kumar produced a lethal spell of 4 for 32 to restrict Khatri to 195 for 9.

Good chase

Tellicherry chased well with Kumar hitting a 47 off 25 balls. Tellicherry were bowled out for 187. Earlier, Fahad hit 83 off 54 balls for Khatri and walked away with the Man of the Match award.

In another match, the Sharjah Cricket Council Cricket Academy scored an emphatic eight-wicket win over Rosy Blue. Sharjah's coach Irfan Ansari took 3 for 10 to bowl out Rosy Blue for 86.

Fujairah Free Zone registered an exciting 13-run win over Sharjah Eagles despite a gritty 93 by Haryesh for the losers.

Khurram Abbas hit 69 and took 3 wickets for Fujairah.
