Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad left-arm pacer Barinder Sran has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for inappropriate behaviour during their Indian Premier league (IPL) match against Mumbai Indians.

Sran’s conduct was deemed contrary to the spirit of the game by the match referee.

“Sran admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction. For all Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding,” an IPL statement on Tuesday.

Sran took three wickets (3/28) off his four overs in the match to help Sunrisers beat Mumbai by seven wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Monday.
