Kolkata: South Africa will tour India in October and November to play a long tour of four Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals.

The tour will be followed by Sri Lanka visiting India to play three T20Is in February 2016 ahead of the 2016 World Twenty20 to be held India from March 11 to April 3.

The Tour Programme and Fixtures Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) met here on Sunday to finalise the venues for the two tours.

The four Tests against South Africa will be played at Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Nagpur and Bengaluru, while the five ODIs will take place at Chennai, Kanpur, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), Rajkot and Mumbai. The three T20Is will take place at Kolkata, Mohali and Dharamshala. The ODI allotted to MPCA will likely take place at Gwalior.

The three T20Is against Sri Lanka will take place at Visakhapatnam, Pune and New Delhi.

“The table does not indicate the sequence in which the matches will be played. The detailed schedule with the exact dates will be announced later,” BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said.
