Dubai England's spirited performance in the first two one-dayers against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi has boosted demand for tickets the third match in Dubai.

A packed-out stadium is expected to watch the third One Day International in the four-match series at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).

Victory would secure the series

With England having won the first two, a victory in Dubai would secure them the series. Pakistan fans, meanwhile, are expected to turn up in large numbers to try to revive the spirits of their team.

Speaking to Gulf News, Maqbul Dudhia, the Dubai Sports City General Manager, said: "To cater to the huge demand we have decided to extend the timing of the ticket offices at the Dubai Sports City from 9am to 8pm. On Friday the tickets will be sold from 2pm to 5pm. Even on the matchday ticket sales will commence from 9am."

Huge relief for England fans

For the fans that watched the one-sided contests in the Test series, with Pakistan dominating the matches, England's rejuvenated performances under Alastair Cook are a huge relief. The third match on Saturday and the fourth on Tuesday will both start at 3pm.

There has also been huge interest for the three Twenty20 matches that follow the 50-over series. "Since Twenty20 matches are very popular, it would be advisable to buy the Twenty20 match tickets quickly. The Twenty20 matches start only at 8pm so that fans can watch the action after their office hours," said Dudhia.

The first two Twenty20 matches will be held in Dubai on February 23 and 25, while Abu Dhabi will stage the third on February 27.
