Teams register comfortable wins to secure place at T-20 climax
Dubai: ECB Blues will play Phoenix Medicines in the final of the first Dubai Sports City Ramadan T-20 tournament at the international cricket stadium tonight at 9pm.
Both registered comfortable nine wicket wins in their respective semi finals. ECB beat Interface Transworld while Phoenix Medicines beat Yogi Group.
Fayyaz Ahmed got three wickets for 23 runs as ECB bowled Transworld for 100 in 18.1 overs. Transworld's Jagrit Anand put up some resistance with 27 off 24 balls, but wickets fell easy.
ECB reached their target in 14.2 overs. Arshad Ali hit 41 off 43 balls and Irfan Haider hit 41 off as many balls for ECB.
In the other semi final Phoenix shut out Yogi for 120 in 18.5 overs and achieved the target with three overs to spare. Haroon Ahmad was influential in offence, hitting 74 not out off 62 balls with nine fours and two sixes.
Sarjeel Khan also remained not out on 32 off 33 to kill off a Yogi comeback.
