Sharjah: The Interface Transworld team breezed to big victories in the Aseel Islamic Finance 26th Sharjah Ramadan Cup and the sixth Al Dhaid Ramadan tournament organised by Sharjah Cricket Council.

In Sharjah, Interface recorded an eight-wicket win over Dubai Airports, while in Al Dhaid they secured a six-wicket victory over Al Faraa.

In both the matches their bowling attack stood out, making it easy for their batsmen to reach the target.

Interface bowled Dubai Airports out for just 60 runs in 15.2 overs and restricted Al Farraa to 120 for 9 in 20 overs.

In the 13th Dulsco Ramadan tournament being held at Zabeel Park under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council, Future King Heroes lived up to their name by defeating Dubai Municipality by six wickets to clinch a place in the quarter-finals. The hero of their win was Deepak Sharma with a spell of three wickets for five runs.

In Sharjah, Danube Tigers also proved to be a formidable side by recording a six-wicket win over Unicon Real Estate. The Tigers therefore emulated the feat of Danube Lions, who recently won the 40th Bukhatir league title.

Interface’s Hiten Dalal played a big role in both their victories. In the match against Dubai Airports, Dalal scored the runs needed to win through his unbeaten 52 runs from 22 deliveries.

Dubai Airports were bowled out for 60 through Mohammad Ibthisam’s three-wicket spell backed up by Nashwan Nasser with two wickets for five runs. Dala also sparkled against Al Faraa, hitting 34 runs to help Interface chase a target of 120 runs.

Al Faraa’s all-rounder Fayyaz Ahmad’s efforts in scoring 31 runs and bagging two wickets went in vain.
