Kingston, Jamaica: Australia beat West Indies by 277 runs in the second Test on Sunday, notching another massive victory against their outclassed opponents.

Australia mopped up by taking eight wickets in 34 overs on the fourth day at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

They bowled out West Indies for 114 in the second innings.

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon completed the rout when he clean bowled Jerome Taylor for a golden duck.

Australia, who won the first Test last week by nine wickets, retained the Sir Frank Warrell Trophy.

The gulf between the teams in both matches was enormous as West Indies were outclassed in virtually all facets of the game.

Australia will now have a couple of days off before heading across the Atlantic for the Ashes series full of confidence but knowing they face sterner opposition against England.

After resuming on Sunday at 16 for two, West Indies lost five wickets in another disastrous session for the addition of 56 runs before lunch.

Shane Dowrich (4), Darren Bravo (11), Jermaine Blackwood (0), Shai Hope (16) and Jason Holder (1) all fell.

With Australia needing three wickets after lunch, the tail wagged a little before Dinesh Ramdin (29), Kemar Roach (3) and Taylor (0) fell in quick succession.

The Australian attack shared the spoils, with Mitchell Starc claiming three wickets, while fellow quicks Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Johnson, and spinner Nathan Lyon, collected two each.

Medium-pacer Shane Watson also joined the party, claiming the wicket of Holder, who made 82 not out in the first innings, when the batsman sent an easy catch to short mid-wicket.
