Australia suffer dramatic collapse
West Indies reduce hosts to 137 for 8 in second innings of third Test
Perth: On another day of dramatic collapses in the third Test at the WACA, Australia fell to 137 for 8 in their second innings after bowling the West Indies out for 312.
Earlier in the day, the West Indies looked out of touch when they were dismissed for 312 just after lunch, 208 runs behind Australia's first inning total of 502 for seven declared.
But Sulaiman Benn (two for 26), Dwayne Bravo (three for 34) and Kemar Roach (one for 18) rocked Australia, who lost seven wickets for 68 runs.
However, they still hold a lead of 345 at stumps.
The West Indies came into day three on 214 for two in reply to Australia's 520 for seven declared and had made steady progress to be 280 for four at lunch.
But that was when the drama began.
- The Windies lost six for 32 after the first interval to miss the follow-on target.
- Australia first innings: 520 for 7 declared.
- West Indies first innings: 312 (Chris Gayle 102, Doug Bollinger 5 for 70)
- Australia second innings 52 for 1 at tea.
