Dubai: Australia’s limited overs squad will arrive on Monday to gear up for the one-off Twenty20 match and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) to be held UAE. Ticket sales have gathered momentum for not only the Pakistan-Australia series including Test matches from October 5 to October 30, but also the Pakistan-New Zealand series from November 3 to December 19.

Speaking to Gulf News, Maqbul Dudhia, General Manager Sports Business of Dubai Sports City, said: “We will once again witness top class cricket in the coming days. Even when the last time Pakistan and Australia played here it was an exciting tussle and with the oncoming World Cup, the contests between these two top class One-day teams will be even more exciting.”

A full house is expected for the opening match of the season when Pakistan and Australia clash in a Twenty20 match at Dubai International Stadium on October 5.

“Last time when Australia played at Dubai Sports City in 2012, we had a sell out with 25,000 fans watching the action. So my advice is try and get your ticket early to avoid disappointment,” added Dudhia.

Tickets are available at various outlets throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah as well as online at www.ticketmaster.ae.

“With Shahid Afridi back as Pakistan captain and Mitchell Johnson set to spearhead Australian pace attack it will be a must watch for the fans. Ticket rates start from just Dh40 for the Twenty20 match as we are keen to maintain our consistent policy of ensuring that all the matches are accessible to as many people as possible. Entry for the Test match will be free,” said Dudhia.

Tickets will be available in Dubai at Karachi Darbar, Sind Punjab, Jacky’s and Samsung retail outlets, AJ Sports, Kesar Restaurant International City, Barbeque Tonight, Digital Office Shaikh Zayed Road, Golden Leaf (Media City), Abu Dhabi Cricket Shop in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Delhi Nihari, Uttam Restaurant, Biryani Kabaab Restaurant.
