Umm Al Quwain:

Arabian Cricket Club will take on Infocom Dubai Strikers in the final of the First Infocom Computers T-20 League being played at Umm Al Quwain grounds.

In the semi-finals both the teams scored identical victories. Arabian Club got the better of Titans CC by five wickets while Infocom Dubai Strikers stopped National Trading Developing Estate (NTDE) by an identical margin.

The star of Arabian Club’s victory was Amir Bhatti. He claimed three wickets and later hit a half-century (68) to win the man-of-the-match award and steer his team through the final. Titans were restricted to 175 for 8 through Bhatti’s three wicket spell. Arabian Club chased through Bhatti’s knock of 68 which contained four sixes and four boundaries. Niyaz chipped in with an unbeaten 26 off just 14 balls with two sixes and one boundary.

Naeem Khan also played an all-round game for Infocom against NTDE. He snared three wickets for 16 runs as NTDE, put in to bat first after losing the toss, scored 157 for 7. Naeem later hit an unbeaten 46 from 43 balls to steer Infocom into the final.

NTDE posted the challenging total through Sageer’s unbeaten 36 with Waseem and Gayan scoring 25 runs each. Amjad too chipped in with 24 runs.

Chasing the total Naeem Khan, who hit an ubeaten 43, was assisted by Afzal who hit an unbeaten 41. Sylvester too contributed a valuable 23 runs.
