Al Ain: Sixteen teams from the UAE will fight it out for the top honours in the first-ever Al Fara’a Ramadan Twenty20 night cricket tournament, starting from July 7 (Monday).
The tournament, being organised by Everest Sports in coordination with Al Fara’a Group at the newly laid turf pitches at Al Ain Sportsplex. The tournament is being held under the auspices of the Al Ain Cricket Council.
Hiren Kansara, assistant vice-president Finance & Accounts — Al Fara’a Group along with Shahzad Altaf and Mohammad Ali have worked together to make to build a natural turf wicket following international standards.
The tournament will be played under lights and the winners will be presented with cash prize, trophies, medals and man of the match awards.
The teams participating in the tournament inlcude: Ex Eleven CC, Pak–Ind CC, NBH CC, Friends CC, Al Ain Lions, KPK CC, Daman CC, GMS Stars CC, EmiState CC, MMS Rental CC, Thrifty CC, Royal CC, National Royal Falcon CC, Lankan Leads CC, Rising Star CC and Al Ain Eagles CC.
