Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan has revealed that off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been unable to bring his action under the 15-degree restriction.

Khan said now it was up to Ajmal to inform the PCB as to when he wants to be reassessed because a failure next time could threaten his career, according to thenews.com.pk.

He also said that Ajmal has worked very hard and he had other tricks up his sleeve than just the ‘doosra’ and the PCB would try to get his action reassessed before January 7, which is the deadline to name the team for the World Cup.

The decision to ban him was taken on September 9 after an International Cricket Council (ICC) accredited team of bio-mechanics experts tested his action at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

Ajmal was reported for action after a Test match between Pakistan and Sri-Lanka at Galle.

The offie has 183 wickets to his credit from 111 One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
