Ai Ai de las Alas has been evasive about the current status of her relationship with erstwhile BFF Kris Aquino.
The feud stemmed from Aquino’s alleged snubbing of the wake of de las Alas’ mother following her death.
The latter obviously was offended that her former pal only sent flowers and a greeting. At media events, the Comedy Queen refuses to answer any questions about Aquino, saying she isn’t ready to talk about her hurt feelings.
She also said she was willing to guest in a show hosted by Aquino and Boy Abunda, but would prefer being interviewed only by Abunda.
Wedding bells
Meanwhile, Heart Evangelista looks set to tie the knot with her boyfriend, Senator Francis Escudero. No details have been announced yet, except for the vague info about the date — before 2016, which is when the next presidential elections happen in the Philippines.
Escudero’s name has often been mentioned as a possible candidate. Evangelista meanwhile confirmed she’s ready to go down the aisle anytime, but says she has yet to receive a proposal from her boyfriend. Hosting a wedding TV show has also inspired her.
Best actress
KC Concepcion won her first Best Actress award at the 30th Star Awards for Movies for the film Boy Golden: Shoot To Kill, The Arturo Porcuna Story.
She dedicated the award to her mother, Sharon Cuneta, a multi award-winning actress herself.
Concepcion was unfazed with the side controversy that hit the awards, when one of those who lost in the Best Actor category alleged that vote-buying was involved to make sure Vice Ganda won the award.
The organisers have already denied any allegation of wrongdoing and are standing by their decision to give the Best Actor trophy to Ganda.
Anything possible
Enrique Gil says it is possible for him to fall for Julia Barretto. He made the statement at a press event for a new show featuring both celebrities, Mira Bella, the launch pad for Barretto’s career.
The actor will be celebrating his 22nd birthday on March 30 and his only wish is for people to accept his new love partner.
He was previously associated with Julia Montes, and although the pairing was successful, he is being teamed up with other actresses by his career handlers. Gil doesn’t mind as it allows him to really establish an identity for himself.
