The National Award-winning Bollywood composer expressed his gratitude to doctors and well wishers on Twitter after surgery
National Award-winning Bollywood music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio underwent an angioplasty on Sunday after suffering a heart attack. The 48-year-old posted a statement on Twitter yesterday thanking his doctors and well wishers.
“My dearest friends and well wishers, I have no words to express my gratitude for the amount of love and prayers I have received in the past few days when I was going through a health problem. By God’s blessings, your positive energy and some excellent doctors, all the procedures were successful and I’m recovering very well. Waiting to come and rock with ya’ll soon! Lots of love and hugs. Shankar Mahadevan”, said the post.
Mahadevan is currently recuperating in a Delhi hospital. His son Siddharth had informed Indian media that his father suffered the attack “mainly due to exhaustion” but there weren’t any major blockages. His spokesperson requested to respect the family’s privacy.
The Kal Ho Naa Ho composer had to cancel performances in Rajkot and Mumbai due to his condition.
