Salman Khan may have turned 50 on Sunday, but the Bollywood superstar says he still feels young.

“I am turning 27. I think 27-year-old is the right age. I have always liked that age. I am not scared about ageing. It is always going to be 27. So what is there to be scared off? It is a part of my journey,” Khan said in an interview.

Khan, the son of noted screenwriter Salim Khan, made his debut with a supporting role in 1988’s Biwi Ho To Aisi. His next release, Maine Pyar Kiya, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, gave his Bollywood career a much-needed push.

Over the years, he has gained a massive fan base courtesy his films such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Karan Arjun, Biwi No 1, Dabangg, Bodyguard and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The actor, called the bhaijaan (brother) of Bollywood has also been involved in humanitarian work through his charitable organisation, Being Human.

Khan has also been involved in a number of controversies — his tumultuous relationships, the hunting of an deer, and a 2002 hit-and-run case that killed one.

However, 2015 was a big year for Khan, both personally and professionally. His performance in the Kabir Khan-directed film Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo were appreciated and both films went on to become huge box office successes.

On the personal front, the Bombay High Court acquitted Khan of all charges in the hit-and-run case.

Earlier, the star got himself in trouble after he posted a series of tweets suggesting that the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon was innocent and should not be hanged for the acts of his brother, Tiger.

The actor later withdrew the tweets and apologised after criticism from his father.

Khan, whose love life has always made headlines, is currently said to be dating Iulia Vantur, and will reportedly making it official sometime in 2016.

Vantur featured in Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s home production, O Teri in 2014.
