Dubai: Brazil legend Ronaldinho is holidaying in Dubai and was spotted at Barasti Beach at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi earlier this week.

The 35-year-old double World Footballer of the Year (2004 and 2005) met with fans and posed for selfies as he relaxed with friends on the beach.

“I am here on holiday to just relax and chill with my friends,” said the former Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan attacking midfielder who is currently without a club having left Fluminense by mutual consent last month due to a lack of fitness. “Obviously everyone here loves football and particularly Barcelona and Brazil so there is also plenty of things to talk about with the fans,” he added.

“Dubai is one of those places with such a happy vibe and that’s why we came here and will be back no doubt.”

Asked about his future in football, he replied: “I just don’t know at the moment and after so many years playing it will take some time for my next decision. But I love the game and will always feel that way.”

The highlight of Ronaldinho’s illustrious 17-year career was the 2002 Fifa World Cup triumph with Brazil and Barcelona’s Uefa Champions League victory in 2006. He’s recently distanced himself from talk of retirement but it remains to be seen where the free agent will play next.
