Rani to give birth to her baby outside India?

Those who saw Rani Mukherjee glowing at the Bachchans’ Diwali party swear she has never been happier.

A close buddy of Mukherjee says, “I met her at the Bachchans after a very long time. I’ve never seen her happier. You see, Rani was always a homemaker at heart. She dreamt of finding the right man settling down, having a baby … It’s all happened. She pinches herself to ensure it isn’t a dream.”

The friend reveals that Mukherjee’s role as ‘Mrs Aditya Chopra’ requires her to be a multitasker. “Rani is now busy with her life as Mr Yash Chopra’s daughter-in-law. She looks after her husband’s home and his workplace. The Yash Raj office is supervised by her. Rani also sits [in] on script readings, costume sessions and scene rehearsals. Lately she has taken a slight break. The doctors have asked her to be careful about the baby.”

Asked whether Mukherjee is planning to give birth in a foreign country, sources close to Yash Raj say she is planning a long maternity break in an unknown destination. The source, who is close to the actress says, “Rani got married in Italy. She may her baby outside India. It was her wish to get married in Italy. Adi just did it for her sake. Likewise it’s her wish to have the baby abroad.”

The couple is said to be super-excited about the impending arrival in the family.

“Adi is very fond of children. He couldn’t become a father in his first marriage, a lacuna that was deeply regretted by Adi’s father Yash Chopra. Now that Yashji is no more, Adi is going to be a father. As for Rani, she has craved to be a mother and dotes on her brother’s daughter. For her, motherhood is bliss,” says the friend.

Incidentally, Mukherjee tells all her friends that this would be her second child, as she dotes on her brother Raja’s daughter as her own.
