Have your say: Rents
Is your rent going up?
-
yes, it has gone 20% in Discovery Gardens, i just finished 1 year in my current flat. when i am taking no chage for first 2 years, but last week they have given me a notice for 20% increase. when i ask my landlord, he said you want to stay you pay with increased rent or vacate with one month notice. i hope Dubai RERA is very strong to control these kind of situations. they eat my savings. hope school fees will not increase this year? God bless Dubai once again

Yes, rent in Abu Dhabi shoot up like anything. I wish we get good two bedroom flats for low rent. Otherwise Abu Dhabi is a wonderful, calm and peaceful place to live in.

No, nothing so far. I live in JLT and the price has been stable for the past 3 years. As long as the supply of homes outweighs demand, the prices will increase just a little tiny bit in some areas.
