Gulf News reader Nilab wrote from Canada to the 'Letters to Editor' or Your Turn section about her older brother Attila's quest for true love.
He has flown into Dubai from Toronto, to win the hand of his ladylove back. But, she's refusing to give him the time of day.
Desperate to help her heartbroken brother, Nilab emailed the newspaper with an open letter to Attila's "amazing woman".
She wrote: "I know this is a little unexpected. People make mistakes, we're human…he is far from perfect."
"He flew across the world for you…you never asked him to and I also know you told him not to, but sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in."
"Meet him and then make your decision…you can move on and it will give him closure. Don't make up your mind on something that was discussed via technology… find it in your heart to have a conversation."
