London: Victoria and David Beckham are not due to welcome their daughter in to the world until next week, contrary to reports that suggested she would be born on Independence Day in the US.

It was speculated that the expectant mother of three had booked in to an LA hospital on July 4 to undergo her Caesarean section.

David Beckham encouraged the gossiping, saying “We got married on the Fourth of July, 12 years ago, Monday, so it’s a special day for us, it always has been and always will be,” at an LA Galaxy press conference last weekend.

Nevertheless, a spokesperson for the Beckhams has quashed the rumours, telling the Daily Mail: “The rumours are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon”. In addition, the footballer’s publicist, Simon Oliveria, took to Twitter to dismiss reports of the birth: “Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham’s baby is not due today and that was never the case…”

Budget dresses

Victoria Beckham, who recently launched a new, lower-priced line of dresses called ‘Victoria’ by her self-titled fashion line, has turned to European fashion to seek inspiration for her daughter’s wardrobe.

The singer-gone-designer gushed “I love the French clothes for little girls,” adding “I like little girls to look like little girls”.

The former Spice Girl recently revealed that she will breastfeed her new daughter, the first of her four children to be fed naturally.
