Dubai: Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Nasser Judeh, will deliver the keynote speech at the Arab Media Forum (AMF) this year, it was announced on Sunday.

Judeh, who’s also the Deputy Prime Minister, will give his speech during the inauguration of the 15th edition of the forum on May 10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the AMF organising committee said.

The two-day event this year is being held under the theme ‘Media for Good’ and is set to attract prominent Arab and international media personalities and intellectuals.

Mona Ganem Al Merri, Chairperson of AMF Organising Committee and President of Dubai Press Club (DPC), praised the participation of Judeh, adding that his keynote speech will highlight the human dimension of media from a political perspective, and how to restore human values that have disappeared from media due to political and security problems gripping the region and the world.

The AMF, as the Middle East’s most prominent media event, is a platform designed to enrich dialogue, exchange ideas and attract attention to the reality and future of the media industry in the region.

The AMF strives to inspire change in the Arab media scene and effectively redefine content and processes.
