Sharjah Ruler inaugurates cultural festival in Germany
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, late on Wednesday inaugurated the Sharjah Cultural Days in Karlsruhe City in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg.
Karlsruhe, Germany: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, late on Wednesday inaugurated the Sharjah Cultural Days in Karlsruhe City in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg.
Sharjah is taking part in the Karlsruhe Art Fair, held from February 28 to March 2.
Sharjah's participation mirrors the emirate's continuous endeavour to set up cultural dialogue between the east and west. The emirate considers culture as the best medium for international understanding.
The opening ceremony was attended by many German officials, UAE Ambassador to Germany Mohammad Ahmad Al Mahmoud, Director General of the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information, several other senior officials from the UAE and a large gathering of people from around the world.
