New York performers to regale Dubai audience
Dubai Event Management Corporation (DEMC) has announced the third performance of the New York Metropolitan Opera's live transmissions will broadcast today at the in the Madinat Jumeirah theatre.

Dubai: Dubai Event Management Corporation (DEMC) has announced the third performance of the New York Metropolitan Opera's live transmissions will broadcast today at the in the Madinat Jumeirah theatre.
Robert Lepage, one of theatre's directors, applies his artistry to Berlioz's contemplation of good and evil in La Damnation de Faust, starring Marcello Giordani in the title role, with Susan Graham as Marguerite and John Relyea as Mephistopheles. James Levine will conduct the production.
The event, one of the 10 performances scheduled for the 2008 to 2009 season, is being transmitted into more than 850 theatres in approximately 30 countries worldwide. With the previous two transmissions, Dubai has become the first in the Middle East, alongside other global cities in Europe and South America, to join the network for transmitting The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD.
Richard Attias, CEO of Dubai Event Management Corporation, said, "Following the success of previous transmissions, we are convinced this performance will be one of the season's best. James Levine is a genius conductor and I am glad that DEMC is bridging Dubai and New York with such a scintillating cultural event."
Tickets are being sold on www.madinattheatre.com and the box office.
