Hunting expo a showcase of culture
The Hunting expo event includes camel and horse auctions, saluki beauty contests, art competitions and traditional hunting activities.

Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Friday visited the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex).
The Hunting expo event includes camel and horse auctions, saluki beauty contests, art competitions and traditional hunting activities.
Visitors can also see and buy the latest camping, hunting, equestrian and equipment, as well as see a designated heritage area.
The Exhibition will end on Saturday.
Adihex is an annual event that has gained international recognition and attracted over 86,000 visitors from around the world last year.
The event also helps encourage, protect and safeguard many traditional values of the UAE. "These values are reflected in many of the activities that dominated life in the region: horsemanship, falconry, hunting, fishing and the arts and crafts, that supports and revolves around them," say the organisers.
The exhibition also stresses on fishing and fish farming methods being implemented in the Middle East and other countries and displays a multitude of fishing industry products and equipment for the aquaculture field.
Some of the visitors are professional hunters and are interested in hunting accessories, special clothing, four-wheel drive vehicles, optical equipment and hunting trips.The guns on show are shotguns, rifles, air guns, carbon dioxide firearms, revolvers, replica/historical firearms, muzzle loading firearms, archery and accessories.
