Dubai: Global Village, the largest seasonal theme park in the region, is extending its working hours during the Eid Al Adha celebrations on top of making history for having its longest season in its 17-year history.
Entrance is free for the opening day on Sunday, October 21.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Global Village CEO Saeed Ali Bin Redha said: "The Global Village team is gearing up to welcome our first visitors on Sunday, October 21, and help them enjoy and celebrate 161 consecutive days of bringing a truly global tourism experience to our local, regional, and international guests."
Global Village will extend its opening hours on weekdays from 4pm to 12am (main park), with regular weekend timings to 1am (rides), to 2am (main park) and 3am (rides) for the Eid weekends.
"New" is the theme for this year with many new additional attractions and events to complement the 161-day season.
For the first time in the park's history, the park commissioned a 3D show that will showcase the theme park and will run eight times a day for 43 days until the UAE National Day.
Funfair rides have also increased by 30 per cent, totaling to 30 at present.
Eight new countries have been added to the park, making a total of more than 65 countries in 37 pavilions.
