Dubai: The Director General of Dubai Courts Department (DCD), Dr Ahmad Bin Hazim Al Suwaidi, on Wednesday honoured Wedad Lootah, an Emirati researcher, writer and a marriage counselor at DCD's Family Guidance and Reconciliation Section.

Dr Al Suwaidi honored Wedad for writing what some critics described as a daring book, titled Sirri Lil Ghaya (Top Secret) which discusses educational, health and social aspects of sex within marriage. Dr Al Suwaidi said the book is considered a source of knowledge for lots of people who don't know life matters related to sexual relationships between spouses who are considered the corner stone of the society.

“The main reason behind publishing Top Secret was educational and to enlighten the public… being a marriage counselor makes me face many challenges and deal with cases which require more awareness plus reforming and reconciling certain behaviors between spouses,'' said Wedad.

The book discusses the issue of spouses' sex as a main pillar of a stable and healthy family and warns against some wedlock matters; such as the lack of sexual harmony between the married couple; that might lead to marital strife.
