146 films to be screened at first Gulf Film Festival
The first Gulf Film Festival on Friday announced that 146 films will be screened at the festival and that 90 per cent of them are world premieres.
Dubai: The first Gulf Film Festival on Friday announced that 146 films will be screened at the festival and that 90 per cent of them are world premieres.
The festival will present top three prizes in features, shorts and documentary in the main competition, and shorts and documentaries in the Students' Competition. There will be a Special Jury Prize in both categories and a separate script competition for Emirati short films.
The Film Festival will take place between April 13 to 18 April at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre, Mall of Emirates. For more information, log on to www.gulffilmfest.com
Masoud Amralla Al Ali, Festival Director, said: "This region abounds with talent and is a viable and rich setting for quality cinema."
