Show me the money

I request Gulf News’ help to get a refund for a cancelled ticket from Air India Express.

I bought a ticket online from Air India Express’ website to travel from Abu Dhabi to Kochi, India. Due to my change in leave plans, I cancelled the ticket on November 12, 2013.

From then onwards, I have been sending them emails, reminders and calls to credit the balance amount to my account after deducting the cancellation fees, but have received no response.

Around nine months have passed and I now request your help and support to follow up this issue.

From Mr Oommen John

Abu Dhabi

The management of Air India Express responds:

Thank you for choosing to fly with Air India Express. Kindly note that we have checked with our finance department and they have said they will process Mr John’s refund manually.

We hope the above information is sufficient. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you still face any other problem. We are pleased to inform you about our newly introduced 24/7 call centre 91-44-66921500. Now, you may book, modify and make the payment over phone using your credit card by secure IVR payment mode.

(Process initiation: September 5. Response from organisation: September 20. Process completion: October 13.)
