In the morning, some people who are late for work tend to drive recklessly. In residential areas, such as the one in Abu Dhabi pictured above, they even travel above 60 km/h.

I think one should not exceed the limit of 20 km/h when driving in residential areas. Many motorists do not know the speed limit. Additionally, there are no pedestrian crossings in many residential areas.

I request the concerned authorities to install some speed bumps to control the speed at which people drive, especially in thickly populated residential areas like the Tourist Club Area, Al Khalidiya area and Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi.

Another issue is that school buses stop at various points in residential areas, which creates traffic congestion in the morning and afternoon.

I have a suggestion for this — parents along with their children should assemble at a mutually convenient location, which will allow school buses to pick the children up without having to stop several times in the area.

This will also reduce the pressure on bus drivers. Some of them drop children off in very dangerous spots. Creating a designated spot to pick up and drop off the children will save them the trouble.
