I regularly walk around in the Rolla area of Sharjah, after parking my car, as I stay nearby.

Every day, I notice a large drain or hole in the ground in the centre of the pavement, very close to the pedestrian crossing on Rolla Street.

This has been the situation for more than six months. Since this pedestrian crossing is located at a bend in the road and there is heavy traffic in the area most of the time, people often run across. I also see children playing in the area during the evenings.

It is a serious concern if there are chances of them falling into the deep hole and injuring themselves.

After iftar, a lot of people are also seen walking around and it may be dangerous for them during the night time. I would like to draw this matter to the attention of the concerned authorities and hope they will take action soon.
