Students feel that there is a strong need for more public libraries across Dubai. The public library in Bur Dubai has been closed for almost two years now, with no sign of it opening soon.

On talking to people living in places such as Satwa and Al Jafiliya, it was learned that they want the library in Bur Dubai to be opened soon, as it is convenient. After that, the closest library available to them is in Jumeirah, which is almost 10 kilometres away. The availability of more public libraries will also encourage the habit of reading in many people. Instead of using the internet for research or any information they need, these public libraries will cultivate the forgotten tradition of old media and reinstate the use of books.
