How does crossing roads after a long day affect people?

An interview was conducted with a doctor to get medical input on how does crossing roads after a long day affect people.

Dr. Salwa Zaky Hanna, Counseling Supervisor at the American Centre for psychiatry and neurology in Abu Dhabi said: “After a long day at work, a person is continuously under stress and has no choice with his mind focusing on one issue at a time. For example, if a person is continually on stress, the mind is distracted and can only think about one issue. When the human mind is constantly occupied with its work issue, it puts one in immense danger.”

Dr. Hanna further explained that a person needs to be proactive and take a wise decision. If possible, taking a taxi is a wiser decision so there is less stress and not worrying about crossing the road. The best way to do this is to take a few minutes to calm down after work, reorganise your mind and keep it focused before leaving for your route.

If there is no proper pedestrian crossing one must consider walking all the way to a proper crossing path. This is both good for health and also reduces dangers of an accident.
