The mind-controlling Bran, played by Isaac Hempstead Wright, was not featured at all in Season 5
Remember Bran? Brandon Stark, the second son of Catelyn and Eddard Stark. Yeah, that’s probably why the first teaser for the sixth season of Game of Thrones mostly is Jon Snow.
Bran, played by Isaac Hempstead Wright, was not featured at all in Season 5 of Game of Thrones.
As you can see in the video, the teaser opens with a shot of the slain (but maybe not quite dead) former lord commander of the Night’s Watch and lingers as a voice tells us “We watch. We listen. And we remember.”
It seems Game of Thrones wants to keep its fans guessing about Jon Snow’s fate.
The final person viewers see is Bran, who if you forgot, is a warg (a person with the power to enter minds and control animals and other people). And that brief shot of him shows him warging, which will probably fuel more fan theories regarding Jon Snow.
“They have no idea what’s going to happen,” says Bran. Which is definitely true as Season 6 of the HBO series will take place beyond the narrative of George R.R. Martin’s five published novels in the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
Martin is currently working on The Winds of Winter, the sixth novel in his fantasy series.
The sixth season of Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO in April.
