The Sahasrara Chakra, situated at the crown of the head, controls everything in our mind — thoughts as well as silence. The name of the chakra translates to a thousand petal lotus signifying the grandeur of this energy centre.

A person with a blocked sahasrara usually lacks self control and reacts without thinking of repercussions. He or she also easily give in to habits, both good and bad.

Similarly, a person with an overactive sahasrara has no rules or boundaries. Such people are indecisiveness and their lives are always in chaos.

But a person with a balanced sahasrara chakra is a visionary who has charisma and charm and a strong sense of love towards others as well as oneself. In yoga, it is believed when the sahasrara is balanced the person is closest to divine qualities. The shirshasana helps in balancing this chakra.
