Two hotel groups tie up with Waterworld
Want to get free entry to Abu Dhabi’s Waterworld park on Yas? You’ve got two options. Stay in Jebel Ali with JA Resorts & Hotels’ Jebel Ali Golf Resort or in Abu Dhabi with the Viceroy. Guests booking a four-night stay at JA’s Palm Tree Court, a five-star family beach resort, or JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel, a four-star beachfront hotel, receive two free passes to either Ferrari World or Yas Waterworld once per stay.
Garden View rooms rates start at Dh990 for 2 adults and a child below 12 years at the JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel; Garden View Junior Suites at the JA Palm Tree Court, for 2 adults and 2 children are from Dh1,160. Rates include breakfast buffet; transportation free on Wednesdays only.
The Yas Viceroy, a five star hotel, has the Yas Waterworld package, valid until 30th September 2013, with unlimited free access to Yas Waterworld, per person per room, with rates from Dh769++ per room, on a room only basis.
Emirates expands in Kiev, Philippines
Emirates has announced two new routes, bringing passengers further into Eastern Europe and Asia. Daily services to Kyiv Boryspil International Airport in Kiev start from January 16, the airline’s first route to the Ukraine, operated by an Airbus A340-500 with a three-class configuration. The airline will now also serve Clark International, in Angeles, 80 kilometres north of Manila, the airline’s second destination in the Philippines, starting October 1. Emirates began serving Manila in 1990, five years after the airline launched. The Clark service will be operated by a two-class Boeing 777-300ER.
Etihad Airways and Korean Air to codeshare
Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways added its 46th codeshare on July 22 with an agreement with Korean Air, South Korea’s largest airline. Giving members of Etihad Airways’ Etihad Guest and Korean Air’s SKYPASS loyalty programs full reciprocity, including lounge access, priority check-in and excess baggage allowances and frequent flyer points earning on all Etihad Airways and Korean Air flights.
Korean Air will place its ‘KE’ code on Etihad Airways’ daily services between Seoul (Incheon) and Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the airline start daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Sao Paolo starting in August, with 3,360 seats to be flown weekly on the 240-passenger capacity A340-500.
