Brittany Spa Cottages, Morbihan

These two granite cottages in a private 17th century hamlet in the Scorff valley pass the good taste test with flying colours — pale walls, antique furniture, luxury linens and seagrass flooring. Little extras set them apart: home-cooked meals on arrival, a generous welcome hamper and a huge hot tub. For younger guests there are high chairs, travel cots, books, games and boules sets. The medieval village of Gumen-sur Scorff is close by.
