Find inspiration and escape to one of Europe's most magical and romantic cities — a place steeped in rich history, beauty and intrigue.
Following the launch of Emirates' direct flight from Dubai to the Czech Republic, Emirates Holidays, the airline's tour operating arm, is offering a range of tailor-made packages to magical Prague.
John Felix, senior vice-president of Emirates Holidays, said: "Located in the heart of Europe, Prague is a stunningly picturesque and culturally diverse city. With its scenic views and historical sites, it is a place that touches everybody's heart, making it synonymous with romance for many people.
"Emirates Holidays is proud to include Prague as part of its ever-expanding choice of destinations."
Cultural centre
Situated on the Vltava River in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural and economic centre of the Czech state for well over a thousand years. Now a Unesco World Heritage Site, with its magnificent architecture and rich culture, it is easy to see why it has become one of Europe's most popular city breaks.
The city centre has a quality that is almost fairytale-like, with its medieval roots, castles and cobbled courtyards.
Built over 600 years ago, among the city's most popular tourist attractions are the famous Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the Old Town Square, where one can find the extraordinary Astronomical Clock. Other must-see attractions include the Museum of Communism and the Estates Theatre, where Mozart conducted Don Giovanni.
Cosmopolitan feel
Beyond the medieval lanes of the Old Town and the Castle District, there is an entire other cosmopolitan city to explore, with riverside parks, lively bars, music clubs, museums and art galleries aplenty.
Jump on to the city's excellent public-transport system and explore the emerging suburbs of Zizkov, Vinohrady, Smichov and Holesovice.
In these more tranquil areas, great bargains can be found and visitors can immerse themselves in a more local ambience.
Emirates Holidays is offering economy-class packages to Prague from Dubai starting from Dh3,914 per person at the Prague Marriott Hotel in a Deluxe Room and Dh4,075 per person at Rocco Forte The Augustine in a Classic Room.
